Editorial Review Standards
Every technical reference article published on EngPedia undergoes a multi-stage editorial review process:
- Code Reference Verification: All formulas, safety factors, and design checks are verified against official governing codes (AISC 360, ACI 318, ASCE 41, CIRIA C753, Eurocode 3).
- Mathematical Rigor: Governing differential equations and virtual work derivations are formatted using KaTeX LaTeX notation and checked for dimensional consistency.
- Open Science Transparency: All solved numerical examples include explicit design parameters and verifiable step-by-step calculations.
